Community Partnerships
Connect Counselling & Therapy Society does not work in isolation. We collaborate with local organizations, service providers, and community partners to support client safety, access to care, and coordinated community response.
Partnerships help ensure people receive the right support at the right time—especially when needs extend beyond what one organization can provide.
What We Mean by “Community Partnerships”
Community partnerships can look different depending on the service area. At Connect, partnership may include referral pathways, shared program delivery, coordinated community response, training and consultation, and participation in local working groups.
Some partnerships are long-standing and formal, while others are project-based or collaborative in nature.
Types of Partnerships
-
Referral & Access Pathways
We work alongside community and government services that refer individuals and families to Connect, and we also connect clients to other supports when needs fall outside our scope. -
Community Response & Systems Work
We participate in collaborative community initiatives aimed at strengthening safety, prevention, and access to trauma-informed supports across the Central Okanagan. -
Training, Consultation & Professional Collaboration
We collaborate with professionals and community organizations through consultation, shared learning, student placements, and participation in professional networks.
Our Commitment
We are committed to responsible collaboration that supports client dignity, safety, and access to care. We aim to work in ways that reduce barriers, strengthen coordination, and support community wellbeing.
