Michelle De Vies, MACP, RCC

Master of Counselling Psychology, Registered Clinical Counsellor and Practicum Supervisor

Michelle has accumulated over 20 years of training and experience grounded in Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behaviour, and Play therapies. She brings a wide range of skills and tools into her work with children, young people, adults, couples, and families.

In addition to private counselling, Michelle is registered to provide services for the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Direct Funding, and the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC).

Michelle’s innate sense of curiosity, compassion, and creativity is reflected throughout her professional practice. She believes that, with the right conditions, everyone has the capacity to heal and grow. Her approach is tailored to support clients in understanding their challenges and finding more meaningful and healthy ways to live.

In 2014, Michelle embarked on a great adventure and moved from the United Kingdom to Canada with her two Spanish Water Dogs, Yogi and Fiz, who delight in getting lost with her as she explores the trails of Kelowna. She also supports Fiz in performing her duties as a trained therapy dog with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.

When she’s not working or volunteering, Michelle enjoys creative pursuits such as crafting and DIY projects. She has also been known to participate in fire-walking, rappelling, paddle boarding, and skiing—though not all at the same time.
