Jodie McDonald, BA., SEP

Jodie McDonald holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology and is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP™) and professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She feels privileged to have worked alongside women who have experienced trauma since 2014.

Drawing on her training in Somatic Experiencing® (SE™), Jodie works with nervous system dysregulation and supports clients in resolving the symptoms and impacts of trauma in a gentle, body-centred way. Her approach is grounded in feminist and person-centred therapy, with a focus on supporting and empowering clients throughout their healing and recovery.

Jodie is committed to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning, both through her professional training and her own life experiences. As part of this commitment, she has recently integrated Somatic Touch into her practice through formal certification, further expanding and deepening her therapeutic toolkit.

Outside of her work, Jodie enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, cycling, and travelling.
