Jenny’s journey in the nonprofit sector began over two decades ago with a simple belief: when you invest in people, small teams can do extraordinary things.

It has been her experience that the people we often set out to help, end up teaching us the most about who we want to be and how we want to show up in the world. That human exchange - watching people grow, adapt, and achieve more than they ever thought possible - is deeply motivating for Jenny. She couldn't think of a greater privilege, than to get to facilitate that change for a living. 

Prior to stepping into her role at Connect, Jenny served as the Executive Director of the Sunalta Community Association (SCA) in Calgary, Alberta from 2015 - 2025. During her tenure, the SCA grew the budget by 1000%, built a team of dedicated changemakers, developed partnerships that increased the number of free programs and services by a factor of 36, and raised over $6M to build a new social enterprise community centre to fund and deliver programming for Calgarians. For this work, Jenny was honoured in 2024 with the Queen Elizabeth ll Platinum Jubilee Medal for exceptional community service. 

When Jenny isn’t working, she enjoys playing cards with her Nann, listening to live music, and spending time outdoors. She’s also known to plan trips around great food, compete in her local pool league, and organize her entire spring around March Madness basketball.
